Hey don't worry bil,

you can uninstall the stuff. Do the following:

1.) Boot in single mode (run level 1).
2.) Run /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh
3.) Reboot

I tried the experimental drivers on my ATI Radeon X1600 Series.
They seemed to work okay, can get the desktop effects and watching HD videos seem to work slightly well. Though the card does seem to heat up a lot, causing the fan to be on full constantly.

Haven't tried it on my ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4850. Kind of don't want to screw up a laptop that I use so often when the Ubuntu ATI drivers already work so well.

I think I want to shoot myself....
Fedora 12 why do you not like ATI!

I seriously wish that Fedora had better graphic card driver support like Ubuntu. When it comes to getting the graphic card drivers working, Ubuntu is still way ahead. Why can't fedora be like that?

Hi g4s,

the statement you linked is about an older version of the Catalyst driver.

@Kulbir: I was wondering if you could get an update on this from ATI guys somehow.. :)
