I’ve always used nvidia with linux, but from what I read, ati are supporting linux much better these days. 5870 back to the shop at the weekend, i’ll wait for nvidia’s next offering.

Then remove xorg.conf (if exists) and remove mesa drivers. rpm -qa |grep mesa will help to find rpm’s. obviously rpm -e removes package. After reboot Xorg will revert to defaults. Sorry folks but i gave up and switched to my second os (Windows 7) which at the moment works perfectly on my laptop and uses acpi correctly so fans are quiet for most of the time…. If i’ll have a chance to get Studio working with Fedora 12 i will let You know.
